Projets > WOVOdat
ObjectiveInitiated in 2000 by the World Organization of Volcanological Observatories (WOVO) and under the aegis of the world-renowned volcanologist Christopher G. Newhall, the WOVOdat project (The World Organization of Volcano Observatories Database of volcanic unrest) aims to have a database for volcanologists so that they can easily and quickly access historical data of volcanoes around the world. Each volcano has a similar behavior and is therefore comparable (obviously taking into account their type). WOVOdat will thus help volcanologists predict the behavior of a volcano in times of crisis. |
